Sultan ul Ashiqeen

The Rightful Heir of Faqr

Meaning: The responsibility that the earth and skies failed to take, you surprisingly took upon yourself O my heart!.

Quranic Definition of Amanat

Allah says in the Quran:
Meaning: Indeed, We offered Our Trust to the skies and the earth and the mountains but they declined to bear it and were afraid of it. But man bore it. Verily, he is cruel (towards his nafs) and ignorant (about his status near Allah). (al-Ahzab 72)

Amanat in Mysticism

Amanat or Divine Trust refers to the Trust of Faqr. Shah Mohammad Zauqi says in his book Sirr-e-Dilbran:

“The responsibility to take up the Divine Trust, which could be borne neither by the skies and the earth nor by the dwellers of the sky, yet man took it upon himself, is in fact the manifestation of the Divine Essence along with His Names and Attributes which is called “Ism-e-Allah Zaat”. Ism-e-Allah Zaat is exactly The Divine Essence and in the human form it is al-Insan al-Kamil (the Universal Divine Man).” (Sirr-e-Dilbaran)

Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali says that Amanat or Divine Trust refers to Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

Sultan Bahoo Revelation About Amanat

Sultan Bahoo says:

Meaning: Ism-e-Allah is the heaviest and the greatest Trust. Only the Holy Prophet knows its Reality. (Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan)

According to the Saints and Perfect Mystics of Sarwari Qadri Order, the Trust means “the legacy of Faqr of Prophet Mohammad.” The heir of this legacy of Faqr is the possessor of the Divine Trust. The Holy Prophet is the owner of the treasure of Faqr and only he has the authority to grant it to his true spiritual heir who is capable to bear this Divine Trust. The true heir of this legacy is that specially chosen Seeker of Allah who reaches the destination of annihilation in Allah or annihilation in Hoo i.e. the Divine Oneness and becomes the embodiment of Oneness. He is Universal Divine Man and the accomplished Fakir. He is the Shaikh and the Perfect Murshid of the Sarwari Qadri Order by the Holy Prophet.

The Holy Prophet said:

  • اِذَا تَمَّ الْفَقْرُ فَھُوَ اللّٰہ

Meaning: When Faqr is accomplished that is Allah.

The one who has to be transferred the Divine Trust, Allah stations him at this lev

The possessor of the Divine Trust is the true and perfect Seeker. He is annihilated in Faqr, annihilated in the Holy Prophet and annihilated in Hoo.

Moid-ud-Din Jindi writes about Ism-e-Azam in the exegesis of sura al-Fatiha in the first volume of Tafseer Rooh-ul-Bayan:

“It refers to the Universal Divine Man or al-Insan al-Kamil who exists in every era. He is the leading Saint of all the Saints. He possesses the Divine Trust and is the Absolute Representative of Allah. The Ism-e-Azam is actually the physical countenance of this Perfect Saint (the Universal Divine Man).”

Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo says that the possessor of Divine Trust is the manifestation of all the Divine names and attributes. This means that he is the Fakir who is annihilated and immortal with Allah (the Universal Divine Man) who adorns the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion. He is the perfect spiritual guide and appointed by Allah to grant Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

Sultan ul Ashiqeen’s Concept of Heir of Divine Trust

Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman says:

“He is the perfect manifestation of Allah, in his being the Divine Essence is manifested along with all the names and attributes. In other words, he is the seeker or the disciple who is the perfect and complete manifestation of the essence and all the attributes of his perfect spiritual guide. His being is the same as the spiritual guide’s because he has gained complete annihilation in his spiritual guide and the spiritual guide is already annihilated in the Holy Prophet and He is only one in an era and usually appears at a new place according to the conditions prevailing in that era. In mystic terminology, he is known as the name of khalifa-e-akbar or the superior spiritual successor.

The seeker,

to whom the Divine Trust is entrusted, is the Chosen One since eternity. His inner self is perfectly pure and as clear as a mirror. Prophet Mohammad himself takes his bayat spiritually and entrusts him to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, who, after his primary spiritual training, hands him over to a Perfect Murshid for completion of spiritual training and perfection in Faqr. The Murshid takes his various exoteric and esoteric tests and trials. The way impure gold is turned into pure and exquisite gold after burning in a kiln, similarly this Seeker of Allah becomes eligible for entrusting the Divine Trust after passing through all the trials successfully due to his unprecedented veracity, sincere intentions, intense love, loyalty, sacrifice and by the grace of Allah. His true love and selfless services for his Murshid makes him the beloved of the Murshid and Allah.

He becomes the Spiritual Confidant of his Murshid who reveals all the hidden Divine Secrets upon him. The transference of the Divine Trust is also a secret between the Lover and the Beloved, which occurs silently and secretly.”

Rule of Transference of Divine Trust

There is a fixed rule for transferring the Divine Trust which Maulana Rumi describes in the third volume of his Mathnavi:

  • Allah bestows His Trust upon the heart of such a person who is not very popular.

The Spiritual Guides of Sarwari Qadri Order always stay away from fame. Except the seekers of Allah, nobody knows them neither their shrines are famous like the shrines of spiritual guides of other orders. These people are according to this Qudsi Hadith:

اِنَّ اَوْلِیَآئِیْ تَحْتَ قَبَآئِیْ لَا یَعْرِفُھُمْ غَیْرِیْ ط

Meaning: Some of My Saints remain concealed beneath My robe. No one knows them except Me.

Abdullah ibn Umar related that the Holy Prophet said:

“Among all the men of Allah, the dearest to Him are those who are pious but hidden. If they disappear, nobody can find them and if they give witness, no one can recognize them. They are the fountainheads of righteousness and the enlightened sources of knowledge.” (Tibrani, Hakim)

(Reference source: Sultan ul Ashiqeen Book)

Before leaving this material world, the Fakir transfers the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion to his spiritual heir so that the system of guiding humanity continues. The Holy Prophet gives the guardianship of this person to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. Then he goes to the sacred court of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo. From there, he reaches the Universal Divine Man of that era.

Rightful Heir of Faqr

The spiritual heir of Sultan  Bahoo in this era, the Universal Divine man of the time, possessor of the Divine Trust, the perfect spiritual guide and perfect Fakir is Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. He is the 31st Shaikh of Sarwari Qadri order. This order initiated from Prophet Mohammad and continued from Ali ibn Abi Talib to the Mohammadan nation. From Khawaja Hasan Basri it transferred to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and continued to transfer till it reached Sultan Bahoo and now it is with Sultan ul Ashiqeen.

Importance of 21st March

21st March 2001 is the great day of history of Sarwari Qadri order. It is the day when Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali transferred the Trust of Faqr to his spiritual and secret confidant Sultan ul Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. On this sacred day, Faqr manifested with a new countenance. Henceforth, every morning the rising sun sees the following saying of Sultan-ul-Faqr VI coming true:

“I am the title of Faqr and you (Sultan ul Ashiqeen) would be its explanation.”

Sultan-ul-Faqr VI opened the door of Faqr in this materialistic age and Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is spreading Faqr all over the world. After the death of his spiritual guide, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen immediately adorned the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion on 26th December 2006. He is the only entity who grants the king of invocations ‘ھُو Hoo’ as well as the contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat to his disciples on the very first day of oath of allegiance. With his powerful spiritual sight, he takes the seekers to the level where they become able to bear the theophanies of this exalted invocation.

Poetry for Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen 1

Explanation: Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat  to his seekers. He takes them to the eternal vision of Allah. With the practice of inscribing Allah’s name on one’s body with index finger, he cleanses the seekers. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen makes the seekers and lovers meet Allah.

When the seeker becomes considerably proficient in his invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat, then Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants him Ism-e-Mohammad. This helps the seeker to progress from knowledge of certainty to truth of certainty. Contemplation of Ism-e-Mohammad affects the inward of the seeker very positively. This makes it easier for the seeker to understand and even act upon the complex matters of Faqr.  He becomes the sought from the seeker, believer (Momin) from an ordinary Muslim and becomes beloved from a lover. Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is Shan-e-Faqr, the glory of Faqr. Whoever enters his court with sincerity, finds himself engulfed in passionate love for Prophet Mohammad. It is the beneficence of the company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen that the seeker’s inward cleanses from all idols except Allah and his Divine love takes him to Union with Allah.

Poetry for Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen 2

Explanation: Wear the robe of humility and come under the refuge of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Whoever holds the hand of the beloved Murshid, he finds the pre-existent fate of Faqr. Whoever forgets Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, he becomes one with the Satan. Sultan Najib is the manifestation of Divinity. Whoever deciphers him, finds the Mohammadan Faqr.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is distributing the Mohammadan heritage to the umma and whoever follows this path, he elevates beyond all sects. He becomes special and stays upon the straight path which is the path of the love and gnosis of Allah. Sultan-ul-Ashqieen is the man of Divine Essence, the perfect and accomplished spiritual guide and the absolute light of guidance. He is the Fakir of all the worlds and his alchemic sight knows no bounds. His disciples are always spiritually extracting favours from his company whether they are physically present in his court or not. His sight cleanses the rusted inwards of seekers. The desires of the world drive away and the inward blooms with the light of the gnosis of Allah.

Poetry of Allama Iqbal:

نگاہِ ولی میں وہ تاثیر دیکھی

بدلتی ہزاروں کی تقدیر دیکھی

Explanation: The sight of the Saint has such power, that it changes the destinies of thousands.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen cleanses the innerself and purges the inward of the seeker and makes it as clear as the mirror. By virtue of being the spiritual healer, he liberates his seekers from all spiritual diseases such as envy, jealousy, vanity, greed, blame shifting etc. The seeker then progresses spiritually and acquires good qualities such as honesty, sincerity, purity of intention, unconditional love for Allah, patience, steadfastness, humility, submission and gratitude. With his sacred company, he changes the personality of the seeker. He improves his nature to such an extent that the seeker completely forgets his old personality.  He takes the seeker out of ignorance and takes them to the light of gnosis. This light makes him recognize himself and finds the Divine within. As the Hadith says:

“He who recognized himself, recognized Allah.”

Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo says in his Punjabi quatrains:

Abyat/Quatrain 1

Explanation: The Perfect Murshid is the one who cleanses the inward of his disciple as a washerman. He purifies them with his sight without leaving any remnant of dust particle. He removes all the dirt from the dirty ones making them shine white. The Murshid should be so accomplished that he exists in every cell of his disciple.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen guides his seekers and takes them out of the jungle of this world. He takes them from Alam-e-Malakut to Alam-e Jabrut to Alam-e-Lahoot. Then the seeker meets his Lord. Through these levels, not only does he take his seekers to closeness with Allah but also protects them every moment so that they may not fall into any satanic trap.

Abyat/Quatrain 2

Explanation: I have found such a Perfect Murshid Bahoo who cleans the inwards of his seekers. I sacrifice my life for him who has revealed the Divine secret of Hoo.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen cleanses the inward of the seeker and engraves Ism-e-Allah Zaat  in his inward in a way that it stays till eternity. Instead of changing the attire and lifestyle of his seekers, he changes their thoughts and perspectives. He directs their attention from the world towards Allah. He grooms the esoteric self of the seeker instead of his outward self. This is because one can only reach Allah through the soul and not the body.

Heir of Faqr Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the embodiment of beneficence. In this age of materialism filled with ignorance, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen liberates his disciples from the darkness of ignorance and enlightens their inwards with the light of guidance. He converts the seekers of the world into the seekers of Allah. He forgives the mistakes of his disciples. With his love, he makes their mistakes a lesson to learn from.

Undoubtedly, for his disciples, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen stands tall as a tree protecting them and a caring father. He is the best of all friends and the most beloved teacher. He never discriminates his disciples over financial, educational or social status. Similar to Allah and His Messenger, the scale of superiority for him is piety. He equally showers his blessings upon his seekers. The difference is that each disciple absorbs it according to his specific capacity. It is impossible to limit the incomparable and unparalleled personality of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen in words.

Personality of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen

It is only Allah who reveals the beauty of His beloveds in the most beautiful words. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s personality is the exact reflection of the following Quranic verses and Hadiths:

His quality-Piety:
“Surely the most honourable amongst you in the sight of Allah is he who fears Allah the most.” (al-Hujurat 13)

His esoteric self-Mirror:
“Momin is the mirror of ar-Rahman.” (Hadith)

His outward-Embodiment of Light:
“Allah takes to (the gnosis of) His Light whom He wills.” (an-Nur 35)

His inward-Throne of Allah:
“The inward of Momin is the Throne of Allah.” (Hadith)

His status: There is a time of my such Closeness with Allah when neither any angel nor Messenger of Allah can come between us.

His grandeur: Everyday his glory manifests anew.

Sultan ul Ashiqeen’s direction: Love conquers everything.

His manifesto: Strong faith and perpetual hardwork.

His teaching: Only Allah! Everything other than Allah is lust.

Sultan ul Ashiqeen’s invocation: Sultan of invocations ‘Hoo’.

His deeds: Only for Allah.

His persuasion: Run towards Allah. (al-Dhariyat)

I request Allah that may He grant health and safety to my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman by the mediation of His beloved Prophet Mohammad and People of the Cloak. May he spread the fragrance of Faqr in the entire world and may we remain under his sacred shadow and gain the gnosis of Allah. Amen.
